I started out with Bit Form in the early v1 days. Fell out of love with it and moved to Piotnet Forms. Recently I had a need to produce an ROI calculator. Tried this with Piotnet, which advertises the form calculations, but this turned into a nightmare. Thought I’d give Bit Form v2 a look. It’s much improved from a form builder perspective and will be my go to form builder now. In addition, it has powerful calculations which aren’t that well advertised, but should be! I needed help to get my ROI calculator to be “just right”. The Bit support team were fantastic. Providing quick support and ultimately logging in to my site, writing a little but of custom code and delivering exactly what I wanted. Big kudos to them! Recommend anyone to take a look at Bit Forms.

Optionally one can chose to store contact form submission data, send to email of choice, or use webhooks to send data to any where you want. I also like that one can customize the chat buttons to suite brand color and logo. Customize what to setup on mobile, laptop, and business hours which is a plus. I like their other product bitform and can tell you they are having good documentation and support. Along with this plugin, bitform and bit integration product , we have a decent collection of plugins that does so much at a reasonable price. Handy plugin and excellent “customer” service Not the type of plugin I’d normally install but has been quite handy on a staging site. Unlike another version (plugins that wrap the same script) I tried first, they have implemented one of the most important functionalities – the ability to change file permissions. Hit a little hiccup after the last upgrade which was looked into and resolved in less than 24 hours; on a Sunday! Excellent “customer” service for a free plugin and much appreciated. Edit: sorry, just remembered an issue another plugin highlighted, apparently a dependency is missing? Can’t say I’ve noticed any problems (was missing in the last version too, only noticed it because of the main report) but I don’t use it that often. The above is being reported by the “Query Monitor” plugin.

GREAT PLUGIN!! This plug in saves the day. It allows for excellent access for your users to all your files. The absolute best part is that it is NOT database dependent! You can add files locally on your server and immediately they are available to your clients. Even outside the path of the WordPress structure. No more fussing with path/path/path/wp-uploads. Put them anywhere on the drive, and in the File Manager folder settings, point to them. Excellent. Best feature of all.

It just works! This is a nice plugin that Just Works … exactly how it should be. It enables me to upload, download and replace files almost as easily as if I was using an FTP program. The display is similar to what I’m used to, so I felt at home using it from the get-go. It also seems very stable and reliable. It does what it says and says what it does.

Life saver! When your managed server is behind firewall it is almost impossible to update a custom plugin. This plugin certainly save my life. No need to come down to server farm just to upload a single file.

Works well A lot of people say that it does not work. This is rubbish – it works just fine! They should check their other plugins and version of WordPress to make sure they are up to date. It’s all very easy to blame the ‘latest’ plugin, but without fully testing and errors reported in the their browser. Using it with Chrome and latest WP, etc. Works like a dream and saves a lot of time having to go via Control panel and other systems just to upload files or do routine maintenance. My advice is to disable the plugin (at least) when not using it as it will just sit there and do nothing until you actually need it. Great plugin. Oh, and did I mention you can Compress files (Zip and other formats supported), view, copy, delete, duplicate, edit and move. Create / delete and rename folders plus a lot more. For a free plugin what are they complaining about me wonders?

Dear Author, I am trying to access File Manager from my front end but it is showing the following error: unable to connect to backend. http error 400 I have raised a ticket but no solution till now. I am really stuck. Please help me. The files are showing in my admin panel but not in website front end. Update: The Plugin author did help me solve my problem. I appreciate their efforts. Thanks.

AWESOME PLUGIN. I use it ALL the time. I really like this plugin. It’s the most useful plugin i’ve found ever. I use this plugin all the time for my own code to add to my website. it has acces to ALL files on your website, including wp-content files on your website etc.. You can program on all languages and upload ANY files you need with this. They could improve with a faster uploader, because it glitches sometimes with large files and stays stuck, but it will work eventually.

Free version works perfectly for me I am delighted with the free version of this plugin. I have successfully tested it on sites built with raw WordPress, Genesis and Divi. There have been no compatibility problems with any of a wide range of other plugins I have used including Gravity Forms, WPML multi-language, Updraft Plus Pro backup/restore. I have installed it on more than 20 production sites running on a variety of hosting platforms and it performs perfectly in all instances. I have not tested the Pro version but, as with all free software, I’m grateful to the author for building, supplying and maintaining a free version for the benefit of the WordPress community.
