Authorization of Mailchimp Integration

First, you have to select the Mailchimp from the actions page. To do this open your Bit Integrations dashboard then click on the Create Integration button now the Trigger page will open select any trigger from the list such as Bit Form, Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, WPForms, WS Forms, Ninja Forms, Fluent Forms, Formidable Forms, Everest Forms, Elementor Form. Then proceed to next and the action page will open. Now Search and select Mailchimp from the action page.

Integration Name/Title: Here give the meaningful integration title as per your requirement.

To get your Mailchimp Client ID and Client Secret, follow these steps:

1. Accessing Mailchimp Profile:

• Log in to your Mailchimp account.
• Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
• From the dropdown menu, select “Profile“.

2. Registering a New App:

• Navigate to the “Extras” section in your profile.
• Click on “Registered Apps“.
• Then, click on “Register an app“.

3. App Details and Credentials:

• Provide a clear and descriptive name for your app.
• Fill out the other required information accurately.
• For the “Redirect URI” field, you’ll need to visit the integration page where you’re setting up this connection. Look for a section labeled “Authorized Redirect URIs“. Copy the provided URL and paste it into the Mailchimp “Redirect URI” field.
• Once everything is filled out, click “Create“.

4. Accessing Client ID and Secret:

• After successful app registration, Mailchimp will display your Client ID and Client Secret. Be sure to copy both of them carefully.

5. Completing the Integration:

• Return to the integration page where you were setting things up.
• Paste your copied Client ID and Client Secret into the designated fields.

Once you have successfully entered your Mailchimp Client ID and Client Secret, click “Authorize” to proceed. Once you have successfully authorized your account then click on “Next“.

Audience List: Select the audience from the drop-down option. You have to create an audience before on your Mailchimp account.

Tags: You have the option to add a Tag [multiple tags] for the audience you’ve already created on your MailChimp account. It’s a great way to organize and categorize your subscribers.

In the integration settings, you will see a “Map Fields” option. This is where you will need to map the fields from your form to the corresponding fields in Mailchimp.

Actions​

Address Field Map: Also, you can enable the action Add Address Field to add the address of the contact. The address fields of Mailchimp are fixed – Address, City, Zip & State. These fields are required for the Mailchimp audience.

Double Opt-in: By enabling the action Double-Opt-in admin can ask permission from users if they want to subscribe to MailChimp or not.

Update Mail Chimp: You can also update the submitted data by enabling the action called Update Mailchimp. Suppose the user already submitted data under an email address. Again they want to submit data under the same email, if the action is enabled then the new data will be updated regarding that email address.

Conditional Logics

With this feature, you can incorporate conditions into the integration process. When the specified conditions align, the data will be transmitted to your Mailchimp. For additional details, we recommend consulting our documentation regarding conditional logic. After you have configured your conditional logic, click Next to continue.

Integration Save

Once you have configured the desired settings for the integration, click the Save & Finish button to save the integration.
