Setup of n8n Integration

To set up the n8n integration in Bit Form, simply go to the Bit Form plugin and open up the form you want to work on. Then, head to the form settings and look for the integrations section. Click on the plus icon to add a new integration, and search for n8n from the available options.

Integration Name/Title: Here give the meaningful integration title as per your requirement.

To get your n8n Webhook, follow these steps:

• Navigate to your n8n account.
• On the left side, select Workflows and then click on “Start from Scratch.”
• Click on “Add first step.”
• Choose “On Webhook Call.”
• Copy the “Test URL” provided and click on “Listen for test event.”

Paste your Webhook URL:

• Navigate to the “Integrations“ page.
• Paste the “Test URL” into the “Link” Field.
• Set the “Method” type to “GET“.
• Next, add the “URL Parameter“, then click on “Test Webhook“.
• Proceed to n8n and verify if the data has been received.

Please return to the integrations page in order to save the integration and then click on “Next.“

Once you have configured the desired settings for the integration, click the Save & Finish button to save the integration.

Configuring the conditional logic

Now, let’s set up some conditional logic to trigger the integration for the submitted data. To do this, head over to the conditional logic section. You have the option to create a new conditional logic or use an existing one. Make sure to set the Action behavior to “Always” and check the Integration under Additional Actions. Then, select your desired Integration, in this case, “n8n.IO Web Hooks“. Once done, just click on Update.

To add an Action in n8n, follow these steps:

• Go back to n8n workflows.
• click on “Back to canvas“.
• Click on run the triggers and submit a form.
• go back to n8n and check if node executed successfully or not.

• Select the “Plus icon” to add an action.
• Click on “Action in an app.”
• Search for your preferred app; in this case, we’ll use “Mailerlite” to create a subscriber.
• Connect with your chosen app; if not done, establish the connection.
• Map your fields by dragging and dropping them. Ensure that the “Email” field is mapped as it is mandatory in Mailerlite.
• Conclude the process by clicking on the “Test Step.”

Save and Active the workflow:

• Navigate back to the canvas.
• Save the workflow and activate it.
• Click on “Test Workflow.”
• Submit a form.
• Return to the n8n workflow and verify the successful execution of the workflow.

Change the Webhook URL:

• Navigate to the webhook section in the workflow.
• Click on the three dots and select “Open.”
• Copy the “Production URL” and return to the canvas.
• Access Bit Form integration and click on “Edit” icon.
• Delete the existing content in the “Link” field.
• Paste the “Production URL” and save the changes.

Integration Log

Every integration has a timeline that you can use to check the success or error status of the integration. To see your response, just head over to the Response section in Bit Form, click on your record, and then scroll down. Below your Timeline, click on Show Integration Logs.
