Authorization of Groundhogg Integration

To set up the Groundhogg integration in Bit Form, simply go to the Bit Form plugin and open up the form you want to work on. Then, head to the form settings and look for the integrations section. Click on the plus icon to add a new integration, and search for Groundhogg from the available options.

Integration Name/Title: Here give the meaningful integration title as per your requirement.

Generate Groundhogg Public Key and Token

To get your Groundhogg Public Key and Token, follow these steps:

1. Access the API Keys section:

  • Go to your Groundhogg dashboard.
  • Navigate to Settings.
  • Click on the API tab.

2. Create new API keys:

  • Under API Keys, choose the desired user.
  • Click the Generate New API Key button.

3. Retrieve the keys:

  • Carefully copy both the Public Key and Token displayed on the screen.

4. Utilize the keys:

  • Paste the copied keys into the appropriate fields within the integrations page you’re working with.

Once you have successfully entered your Groundhogg Public Key and Token, click “Authorize” to proceed. Then click Next.

Select Action: Select an option from the drop-down list. For Example: “Create Contact

In the integration settings, you will see a “Map Fields” option. This is where you will need to map the fields from your form to the corresponding fields in Groundhogg. The “Email” field is the default and required field in Groundhogg, so you will need to map your form’s “Email” field to this field in Groundhogg. You have the option to map additional fields by clicking on the Plus (+) icon.

You also have the option to include meta fields. If you want to use this feature, simply check the box. You have the option to map additional fields by clicking on the Plus (+) icon.

Actions

Add Tags: You have the option to activate the Add Tags Field feature, which allows you to add tags to your contacts. And guess what? You can even add multiple tags at once from the handy Drop-Down list.

Email: When you select the Action, you will see the Emails and All tags option. Click on Emails option and select the Email fields from the drop-down option, you can add Form Email fields.

All Tags: Click on All Tags the option and select the tags from the drop-down, you can add multiple tags. Then click on the Next button to move forward for further settings. If you don’t see any tags. Click on the refresh button.

Integration Save

Once you have configured the desired settings for the integration, click the Save & Finish button to save the integration.

Configuring the conditional logic

Now, let’s set up some conditional logic to trigger the integration for the submitted data. To do this, head over to the conditional logic section. You have the option to create a new conditional logic or use an existing one. Make sure to set the Action behavior to “Always” and check the Integration under Additional Actions. Then, select your desired Integration, in this case, “Groundhogg“. Once done, just click on Update.

Integration Log

Every integration has a timeline that you can use to check the success or error status of the integration. To see your response, just head over to the Response section in Bit Form, click on your record, and then scroll down. Below your Timeline, click on Show Integration Logs.
