Bit Form – Stripe field

Another payment gateway plugin Stripe has been added to Bit Form. It allows Pre-authorized debit payments, Afterpay / Clearpay,  Alipay,  Bancontact,  Card payments,  Cash App Pay,  EPS,  giropay,  iDEAL,  Klarna,  Przelewy24,  SEPA Direct Debit,  Sofort,  ACH Direct Debit,  WeChat Pay.

The below instructions admins have to follow to set up their Stripe config with Bit Form.

Create Stripe Config

1. Navigate to the Bit Form dashboard. Then go to App Settings & click on Payments.

2. Click on the (+) icon & select Stripe.

3. At first. set a suitable integration name on the Integration Name field

4. Admin has to create an application from the Stripe Developer site. For that click the Stripe Developer Dashboard.

5. There are two types of apps – Test Mode and live mode. For the demonstration purpose, we have selected Test as an app. You have to select Live for the real-time transaction.

6. Now, copy the Publishable key and Secret key & go back to the Bit Form Stripe settings page. Then paste the it on Publishable key and Secret key fields.

7. Complete the stripe config settings by clicking on the Save button.

8. Go back to your form and select the created stripe config.

Now, you have completed your stripe configuration. It’s time to set up the form to get the payments via Stripe. Follow the below instructions.

Button Customization

1. Button Text: The Button Text is a configurable option in Bit Form that allows the administrator to set the text that appears on the button within the form.

2. Pay Button Text: The Pay Button Text is a configurable option in Bit Form that allows the administrator to set the text that appears on the button within the form.

3. Layout: Layout refers to the arrangement or design of elements on a ‘payment method’ of stripes. It typically involves the use of horizontal or vertical sections, creating a visually appealing and organized appearance with the payment form.

4. Theme: Stripe provides a variety of themes for the payment form. You can choose the theme that best suits your payment form.

5. Language: You can set the field language according to your preference.

6. Payment Method Type: You can add the payment method on the ‘Payment Method Type’ field from which you want to take payment. You can select multiple payment methods.

7. Currency: You can set the currency type, and there are 17 currency types available.

NOTE: Sometimes, the currency field drop-down options are not visible because some payment methods do not support all currencies.
Ex, The EPS payment method does not support all currencies except the Euro.

8. Amount Type: Admin can fix that in which way they want to take payments from users.

✔ Fixed: If the admin wants to set a limit of payment, they have to choose this option. For example, you have created a form for a particular sale. Then you have to set the payment digit on the field.

✔Dynamic: For dynamic payment, admins have to add a ‘number/radio field’ where users can add their amount according to their willingness.

9. Additional Settings: By default, the users have to fill in the Stripe checkout information like name and Address again. If admins want, they can map the field names of forms on the customization prefill fields – ‘Name’, Address. By this users don’t have to put mapped field information double time on the Stripe checkout window.

10. Hidden: This option allows you to make the field hidden when the form is displayed on the front end. You can show this button using conditional logic. Ex: When the price or address fields are filled in your payment form, only the payment button will appear
